My review of China Sea – this is a good Chinese restaurant that offers great tasting seafood with a Chinese twist to them.
The steamed hammour was fresh tasting, and the meat was juicy. There was not really anything special about this dish, as it was just the plain fish on a plate.
The fried prawns were a bit oily. The batter on them was thin and the garlic sauce that came along with the dish was not bad at all.
Finally, the deep fried squid was not as good as I thought it would be. I was picturing something different, like a whole squid that is deep fried, but it was more like calamari.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 3.5/5.
I ordered the steamed hammour for 60DHS, fried prawns with garlic sauce for 75DHS, deep fried squid for 50DHS.
The pricing here is higher than the average Chinese place.
The service was slow, and the food took quite some time to arrive at the table. The staff members did not look approachable as they barely smiled.
Finally, the ambience of the restaurant has the Chinese look to it. The outside of the restaurant has that Chinatown appearance with the lanterns, the red colours, and the lions at the entrance. The interior decor is simple with Chinese lanterns all over.
