My review of Barilla – this restaurant was really intriguing to me as I had always purchased this brand of Italian products when I was living in Canada. I was unaware that this company has opened restaurants up in the United States and two restaurants here in Dubai. I am glad these restaurants exists as the flavours here were definitely authentic and each dish was made to perfection.
The salmone affumicato was my most favourite dish here today. The salmon pieces were large and the salmon was seasoned well. It was a fresh dish, especially served with the green salad to bring more colour to the plate.
I decided to go with the quinoa salad as I wanted a change from the plain salads that I usually get. The quinoa was cooked well and the dressing was light and zesty. This salad was definitely delicious and will be my go to salad from now on.
The tortellini was amazing, and the size of each the tortellini pasta was smaller than what I usually get, but this was a bonus as there was more flavours in each bite with each filling being tightly compacted together.
Finally, the risotto, I would have to say that every little bit of this dish was appetizing. The amount of seafood that was in this dish was a good ratio compared with the risotto. I loved the creamy texture of the risotto and the sauce was wonderful.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 4.5/5.
I ordered the salmone affumicato for 42DHS, quinoa salad for 44DHS, tortellini alfredo for 46DHS, penne mare blu pasta for 56DHS, and the risotto di mare for 52DHS.
The pricing of the food here is worth it especially for authentic Italian cuisine.
The service that I received was amazing as all of the staff members were very organized and attentive to the table. I especially want to mention our server, Emmanuel, who was very good at recommending dishes and was smiling throughout the whole dinner. Plates were cleared quickly, drinks were delivered promptly.
The ambience of this restaurant is bright with a wooden theme and is focused on showcasing their wonderful Barilla products when you first enter. The decor was all about the Barilla brand and their amazing pasta. Located in the Festival City Mall, this is one out of two Barilla Restaurants location to open up in Dubai.
