My review for The Lounge Dubai – If you’re a fan of Chef Glady, then you will have to stop by here to indulge his stunning signature dishes.
The tuna tartare was outstanding, and the presentation was extraordinary. I loved the passionfruit flavours, and that extra acidity brought out the beautiful flavours in the tuna tartare.
The scallop carpaccio was my absolute favourite dish as it was everything that I hoped for plus more. The pistachio flavours were strong and I loved that extra nutty texture with the soft scallop meat.
Now I am thinking about the miso black cod dish that I had, and I feel that this was my favourite dish as well. The black cod was perfect, and the miso flavours were all there. The pistachio livened up the dish even further so I was really happy with the overall flavours.
Finally, my favourite course – dessert. The white dessert consists of lychee, coconut mousse, white chocolate and vanilla sauce. The dessert was soft and had that natural sweetness from the lychee. Each bite was just heaven because all of the ingredients used blended together so perfectly.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 5/5.
I ordered the tuna tartare with passionfruit for 72DHS, scallop carpaccio with pistachio for 68DHS, miso black cod with pistachio for 132DHS, and the white dessert for 60DHS.
The service was marvelous where our server was paying attention to us throughout the whole dinner. From refilling my water and wine glass, to explaining each dish with detail, he definitely made our dinner experience memorable.
The drinks and food came out in the right amount of time. The starters, main courses, and desserts all came after one another smoothly and our table was never without food, so that was just wonderful.
The owner, Raed, took the time to greet us, which was pleasant as he gave a face behind the restaurant. I could really tell how passionate he was about the place and we really enjoyed his company.
Chef Glady came out to get feedback from us for his amazing dishes, and honestly, I barely had any negative input because everything was just beautiful to look at and were delicious.
The ambience was stunning where the interior had an elegant but urban vibe. We sat on the terrace where there is a full view of the Dubai fountains and during the time of our visit, we were able to witness the guiness world record light and sound show on the Burj Khalifa. Located in Souk Al Bahar, this restaurant very much suits the standards of what is expected here.
