My review for Keventers – I am not usually a fan of milkshakes but I saw this place while walking around the beautiful La Mer, and decided to try the flavours out. It was interesting to see camel milk on the menu, but I decided to get a slush instead, thinking that it would look beautiful due to the name of it.
I got the unicorn slush, and usually, when you think of unicorns, you would imagine pastel pink, purple, and blue colours.
There was a disclaimer on the bottom of the menu that the drink presentation will be different from the pictures, and that just disappointed me greatly. I have been to many milkshake shops in town where their milkshakes are stunning and are instagram worthy. The ones here, was just presented in a glass bottle and was nothing special.
My slush did not remind me of a unicorn or resembled a unicorn in any way. It was red in colour, and there were no distinct layers of other colours to make it look at least pretty for pictures. The flavours of the slush was nothing special, and tasted just like any other slush.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 2/5.
I ordered the unicorn slush for 17DHS.
The pricing of the drinks here was average for what you would pay for a milkshake.
The service was weird at first when we entered, there was not any type of greeting from the staff members. We had to approach the counter and she just told me to look at the menu. A simple, hello or welcome, would have made a huge difference.
The ambience of the restaurant was modern and simple. The wall of milkshake bottles stood out where each bottle was painted with unique art. This matched the La Mer vibe as it is very artsy in this area.
