My review for Manga Sushi – Not a bad place for Japanese food, but I do feel that the portions sizes are way too small for the prices. There are unique dishes here that makes Manga Sushi stand out but I wished that I tried more of their other rolls, however, with the new “healthy living” lifestyle, I chose to only eat one roll.
The my Dubai roll came with 5 pieces and had edible gold flakes on top of the sushi rice. The filling was decent for flavours with lobster tempura. The overall taste of the roll was not as exciting and not worth spending 10DHS on each piece.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 3/5.
I ordered the my Dubai roll for 59DHS.
The pricing of the sushi served here was so high, especially for the roll that I got as I have had gold flakes on my dishes before in Dubai, and even those were reasonable for pricing.
The service that I received here was great where the servers were dressed in serving Japanese kimonos, which added that extra Japanese feel to the place. The food came out in the appropriate amount of time.
The ambience of this restaurant was unique and cute. It was modern with nice manga wallpaper to match the name of the restaurant. The decor was very Japanese and I felt like I stepped from Dubai straight into Japan. The cherry blossom trees livened up the place and added that pretty pop of colour.
