My review for Rock Bottom Café – if you’re looking for some great rock n roll classics with a wonderful menu, you need to check this restaurant out. With an all American theme and karaoke nights, it was such a fun place for me to visit.
First, my thoughts on the RBC mozzarella sticks were that they were really tasty with and and without the sauce. The mozzarella sticks were huge! Each one was filled with so much cheese and the seasoning on them was perfect.
I loved the grill on the king prawn skewers, and I thought the shrimps were marinated nicely with an amazing taste. This dish had two skewers with 3 large shrimps on each.
The shrimp cocktail was wonderful with a nice creamy delicious sauce that made this one of my favourites. The sauce was made out of mayo which had a nice consistent texture to liven up the flavours of the shrimp.
The clam chowder soup was not too bad but I wished there were more clams because I found that there were a lot of potatoes and barely found any clams. The soup was served inside a bread bowl and the soup itself was creamy, thick, and delicious.
Finally, I want to mention the highlight of the dinner with the lobster dish. The lobster was presented beautifully with the shell being used as a bowl for the delicious lobster meat. The lobster was served with fries and a side of steamed vegetables which went well with the lobster.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 4.5/5.
I ordered the RBC mozzarella sticks for 40DHS, king prawn skewers for 75DHS, shrimp cocktail for 75DHS, clam chowder soup for 35DHS, lobster for 140DHS, and the hot apple pie for 40DHS.
The pricing of the dishes served here was good for the portion sizes that you get.
The service was a bit slow going at first as our drinks took quite some time to get to our table. Our food orders came out much quicker which was good.
The ambience of this restaurant was interesting with wonderful and eye-catching decor all over. I liked how laid back the set up of the restaurant was with bean bag chairs to relax on while watching the live band play in front of you on stage.
