My review for Tribeca – I love Friday brunches in Dubai, and this is a new place to add my favourites list. This restaurant offer two brunches for their Fridays, one in the afternoon and another in the evening. I came here for the afternoon brunch and the main courses were a delight.
The starters and dessert are served buffet style while the main courses are a la carte. I was happy to see mostly seafood items and each one was stunning and delicious!
The starters that I really enjoyed from the buffet were the tuna tartare salad, bean and corn salad, and the vegetarian pizza.
The tuna tartare salad was lovely and even though the one served in the buffet had no traces of tuna left, I was able to order it from the server where she brought a bowl of the fresh tuna tartare salad to the table.
The vegetarian pizza was different from typical pizzas and this was a good thing as the dough was fluffier and lighter. The toppings were delicious and filling.
The main courses that I had were the organic salmon steak, baja fish tacos, and the handmade ricotta gnocchi.
The organic salmon steak was perfect! I loved the cook on the salmon where the skin was extra crispy and the salmon meat was still juicy. The salmon was served on a bed of carrot puree and an apple fennel salad.
The baja fish tacos were a delight and this order came with three tacos. I loved how there was avocado mash as one of the fillings and this really complimented the fish flavours. The fish was deep fried but not oily at all.
Finally, the last main course that I had for brunch was the ricotta gnocchi. This wonderful dish was served with chopped asparagus, broccoli, and tomatoes. The gnocchi was super soft and was the perfect size.
The rating I am giving this restaurant is 4.5/5.
I ordered the big apple brunch with house beverages for 399DHS.
I believe that the pricing of the brunch here was an amazing deal as the main courses were full portion sizes!
The service that I received was excellent where our server, Tamara, was on top of her game when it came to checking in on us and explaining each dish in full detail. She made sure our drinks were always refilled and that our table was cleaned.
The manager, Erald, was welcoming and checked in on our brunch experience near the end. He was more than happy to hear our opinions on the brunch and addressed our very small concerns in an amazing matter where he let us try some of the dinner main courses.
The ambience of the restaurant was artsy, creative, and unique. I loved the decor all around where it all made you take a double take. The restaurant is located inside the JA Ocean View Hotel in the Jumeirah Beach Residence area.
