My review for Eatery – looking for an easy place to break fast at with a great selection of delicious dishes? The Eatery in the Four Points Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road is offering a lovely buffet filled with dishes that I found to suit my picky taste buds.
I was glad to see a few seafood dishes as I am always skeptical about iftar buffets since meat is usually the star.
I found many items that I kept going back to the buffet for and these were the smoked salmon, spicy salmon maki, cheese rolls, salmon with dill and creamy sauce, and the chocolate dipped dates.
The smoked salmon was perfect and it was seasoned just right. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this dish and it’s my favourite every where else as well.
It was nice to see maki in the buffet and it was one of my favourite kinds. The spicy salmon maki was great where it was filled with plenty of marinated salmon.
Cheese rolls are my guilty pleasure since I’ve arrived to Dubai and experienced proper arabic cuisine. I loved how these rolls were fried with melted cheese on the inside and it was delicious. No sauces were required as the cheese itself was already so flavourful.
My absolute favourite item from the buffet was the salmon from the main course section. The salmon was topped with dill and sitting on a bed of white creamy sauce. The salmon was cooked to perfection where it was a bit pink on the inside which is how I love it. I was impressed with how juicy the salmon was and the sauce was just right where it did not over power the beautiful flavours of the salmon.
Finally, I finished my dinner off with the amazing chocolate dipped dates. The dates were dipped in white chocolate and stuffed with almonds. I already enjoy the natural flavours of dates so the chocolate and almonds really elevated the flavours.
This restaurant deserves a rating of 4/5.
I ordered the iftar for 120DHS per person.
The pricing of the buffet here was absolutely affordable and was such a good deal for the type of dishes that was served.
The service was marvelous where all of the servers were paying close attention to each table making sure that water glasses are filled and finished plates were cleared.
The ambience of this restaurant was simple but easy on the eyes. The buffet set up was beautiful where it was very organized and the dates table caught my eye first because of the miniature mosque that was on display.
This restaurant is located on the lobby level of the Four Points Hotel on Sheikh Zayed road.
